Whilst the website is intended to pay tribute to the many thousands of people so deeply affected by the tragic events of September
11th 2001 we wanted to take just one page to also pay tribute to the thousands of young people who are so gallantly protecting
the country, and fighting the war against terrorism, many of whom are several thousand of miles away from home, some having
left their home and country for the first time.

There are several nations involved in active participation against the terrorists and the countries who support them.
The young people involved are in some cases only 18 years old, and despite having grown up in a safe and secure environment
have not only given away their own freedom to fight in far away lands in addition to providing homeland security, but have
done so willingly, and have been enlisting in the various military forces in increasing numbers at this time of need.

We have a very personal involvement in this as our daughter Helen, part of "The Class of 2001" is presently with the
Army, and is a trained member of the Military Police with the Army Reserves. Many of her graduation friends have enlisted
in the different services. ALL of them had made the commitment prior to the events of September 11th, and whilst there has been much heart searching, they
have all proceeded with that commitment to their country and fellow citizens.

We know that some of Helen's friends who started their training before her are already miles from their homes and families
on foreign soil. Helen is at pressnt serving full time with the Army Military Police although she is a reserve member,
and she has recently been posted overseas. Therefore we and many of the other parents we know have the worry of
their "children" being somewhere overseas, on land, sea, or in the air.

So we ask you, in addition to remembering the countless innocent people so deeply affected by the terrorist attacks on September
11th, please also say a Prayer for the thousands of military people who have been, are now, or will be involved in fighting
for the freedom we all love so dearly. Men and women from all cross sections of the community, of all races, of all religions,
of all ethnic backgrounds, of all social groups, and of all ages, the only thing they really have in common is their devotion
to duty and their commitment to all it takes to support and fight for the "American Dream", and world freedom from
terror.
If you do not have a God, do not Pray, do not share Religious views, then all we ask is that you might spend a minute just
thinking of the young people and the price they pay in trying to do their duty in support of citizens of the world. Freedom
does not come cheaply, it costs them, their families, their friends, and their loved ones.
